    In honor of Peachtree City’s 60th anniversary, Peachtree City Library will publish an anthology of personal essays that capture the essence of Peachtree City as “home.” The idea is to capture a diverse range of voices and memories that tell the story of this special place.   2. CAREing Paws, Come Read to a Dog

    The CAREing Paws Program utilizes registered therapy dogs to improve literacy skills for children. If your child struggles with reading this may be for you. Children must have a basic knowledge of reading. Open to children in Grades K-5. The library offers six 20 minute sessions. Parents must reserve a time slot in advance for their child. Children may bring a book or choose a book at the library. Registration Required. To register call the library at 770-631-2520.

    The Local Author Expo is a great way to meet local authors and support them! The 2019 theme is “Self-Publishing and Indie Authors.” Local authors will be available to share great tips and stories about their self-publishing journeys. Represented genres include fiction and non-fiction books from humor to finance, historical fiction to memoirs and more. Join the Peachtree City Library on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm for this fun and informative event. Check out the local author shelves in the collection while you’re here. This is event is free and open to the public and will be held in the Floy Farr Room. Featured authors are by invitation only. No registration required to attend.
