The Peachtree City Library's artist for the month of November is Teresa Foshee representing the Newnan-Coweta Art Association. Each month the associations supply two different local artists to display their work in the library. We are pleased to offer a new opportunity for these artists to meet the public. Both artists will be available to discuss their techniques and inspirations. This event will be held near their artwork located on the main floor of the Peachtree City Library. This program is free and open to the public.

The CAREing Paws Program utilizes registered therapy dogs to improve literacy skills for children. If your child struggles with reading this may be for you. It is designed to books the self-esteem of new readers. Open to children in Grades K-5.
The library offers six 20 minute sessions. Parents must call in advance to reserve a time for their child. Children may bring a book or choose a book at the library.

Storytelling Workshop for Homeschoolers is a 4-week course. This sessions theme is Puppet Storytelling. The instructors will help children learn the basics of creating, telling, and remembering stories. The instructor for this session is Anne Wallace. A personal notebook and pen or pencil is required of each student at each class session.
Classes are free and open to the public and will be held in the Storytime Area of the Peachtree City Library. Registration is required. Classes are open to grades 2+.

Kimberly is an award-winning poet and was the 2016 Carl Sandburg National Historic Site Writer-In Residence. In her debut book of poems, Lindy Lee: Songs on Mill Hill, Kimberly chronicles the lives of textile workers in the Piedmont with historical accuracy and imaginative insight. These are poems of sorrow, joy, and redemption that linger in the heart. These poems also raise awareness about women's issues and issues for workers today. This program is free and open to the public.
