“Fly Day” for Special Needs Kids Set Saturday, October 6

The Challenge Air Program will host "Fly Day" on Saturday, October 6, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., at Atlanta Regional Airport-Falcon Field. 

The program is designed to let children and youth with special needs experience the thrill of flight with free 30-minute airplane rides that will be given by local volunteer pilots. The program focuses on the abilities of the participants and the possibilities available to them. The program includes an educational ground school prior to sitting in the co-pilot seat on the flight, as well as displays and other educational activities.

The Challenge Air Fly Day event is hosted by the Atlanta Regional Airport/Falcon Field and sponsored by Fulton Services, Plumbworks, and several local companies and friends.

Blood Drive Slated Sunday at FFUMC

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, 175 E. Lanier Avenue, will host an American Red Cross blood drive on Sunday, October 7, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in the Family Life Center. To schedule an appointment to donate, please visit redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: ffumc.
