Peachtree City UPDATES
Special UPDATES for November 2, 2017

MacDuff Parkway Paving Update

THIS WEEKEND – the City’s contractor will NOT be doing any milling or paving work on Saturday or Sunday.

MONDAY & TUESDAY – Beginning on Monday, November 5, the contractor will begin work on the southbound lane of MacDuff, beginning at Franklin Ridge Drive.  The southbound lane will be closed to through traffic as the crew progresses southward through Tuesday.  The detour via Chadsworth and Wynnmeade will be available during part of the work.  Residents along MacDuff should plan to exit the area via the northbound lane to Highway 74 on Monday and Tuesday.

WEDNESDAY – FRIDAY – The paving will begin as soon as the contractor has completed the reconstruction work on the southbound lanes, continuing until the project is complete (estimated by Saturday, November 9).

Saturday Night:  Change Your Clocks, Check Your Smoke Detectors

The official change to Standard Time is this Sunday, November 4.  When you set your clocks back one hour, be sure to check all smoke detectors and change any batteries.  If the smoke detector itself is more than 10 years old, change out the detector (the date is on the back of the device).  Choose interconnected smoke detectors, hard-wired or wireless, that will sound all the devices if one is activated.  Smoke detectors should be in every bedroom, outside each sleeping area, on every level of the home, and in the garage.
