Neighborhood/ Business Watch Program

The goal of the Peachtree City's Neighborhood Watch Program is to enhance the quality of community life in Peachtree City through the establishment of an active partnership between residents and police. Active involvement by citizens in the watching, caring and protection of their neighborhoods serves to deter and to reduce crime. The active involvement increases the safety of the lives and property of its residents.

It is a crime prevention program that teaches citizens techniques to reduce the risk of being victimized at home and in public, trains citizens on the importance of recognizing suspicious activities and how to report them, allows neighbors to get to know one another and their routines, so that any suspicious activity can be reported and investigated and acts as a cohesive body of concerned citizens that address issues that are important to the entire community.

Neighborhood Watch Open House ~ May 21, 2012 ~ 7:00pm ~ Police Department Headquarters

On May 21, 2012, at 7:00pm, the Peachtree City Police Department will be hosting an Open House for representatives of our Homeowners Associations, and those interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch.  During this event, members of the department will be discussing the importance of a Neighborhood Watch, and what opportunities and training are available to its members.

This event is a “must attend” for everyone involved in or interested in the Neighborhood Watch Program.  The Police Department relies on information from, and the support of the community to help prevent and investigate criminal acts. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what you can do to help keep Peachtree City the community we all want it to be.
