Mayor Don Haddix was first elected to City Council Post 1 in 2007, winning the 2009 election for the seat of Mayor. 

Haddix has lived in Peachtree City since 1987.   He has worked in U.S. Naval intelligence, as a supervisor for Bethlehem Steel, and has been a business owner in Georgia for 20 years.  He also serves as an Annexation Arbitrator for the State of Georgia.

Don and his wife, Cathy, live in Dover Square in Aberdeen Village.  They have one adult son who lives in south Georgia.

Favorite things about Peachtree City:  Mayor Haddix appreciates Peachtree City's sense of community, the small town atmosphere, and the high standards of the community

This is another new tool along with Internet streaming of meetings. Additional plans are to add periodic contributions to such as The Citizen as a columnist.

Citizen involvement is key to the success of Peachtree City. Electronic, public comment at Council Meetings, Workshops, Town Halls and print are communications avenues available to give the greatest participation possible.
