2020 LCI Study

The LCI Process

Peachtree City was one of the ten communities to be awarded a Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) in 2019.

After the last public workshop, the City Council at the time decided to stop the process.  No LCI plan was created or adopted by Peachtree City.

This page is kept active to allow public access to all files created during the truncated planning process.

Public Participation

The Peachtree City LCI plan would have been a direct result of public participation and input. Through multiple public meetings, pop-up events, online surveys, and stakeholder interviews, Peachtree City residents and business owners had many opportunities to guide the plan.

Core Team

The Core Team was a group of appointed citizens who guided the overall planning process. Appointed by the Mayor and City Council, it was comprised of seven individuals with a broad range of experiences and perspectives. They met bi-monthly to provide guidance and insight to ensure that the plan met the needs of all Peachtree City residents.

Public Meetings

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, many of the originally-scheduled public meetings had to be redesigned to protect public health. The table below lists the public meetings, which could have been changed depending on the status of the public health emergency at the time.
