Peachtree City is one of the ten communities to be awarded a Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) in 2019. The LCI Planning Project will be a year-long process and include extensive community outreach.
The Peachtree City LCI plan will be a direct result of public participation and input. Through multiple public meetings, pop-up events, online surveys, and stakeholder interviews, Peachtree City residents and business owners will have many opportunities to guide the plan.
The Core Team is a group of appointed citizens who will guide the overall planning process. Appointed by the Mayor and City Council, it is comprised of seven individuals with a broad range of experiences and perspectives. They will meet bi-monthly to provide guidance and insight to ensure that the plan meets the needs of Peachtree City.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, many of the originally-scheduled public meetings had to be redesigned to protect public health. The table below lists the tentative public meetings, which may change depending on the status of the public health emergency. Meetings in Bold are scheduled.
