Peachtree City has a rich history of progressively planning for the future. Beginning in the early 1960s original vision for Peachtree City based on the Garden Cities movement, to the first documented Master Plan in 1972, Peachtree City has been one of Georgia's first Planned Communities. The 1985 Comprehensive Plan predated the state's Planning Act by four years, but included considerable community participation and outreach. Then again updated in 1992 and subsequent years, our City's Comprehensive Plans have reflected our community's values and guided development to help make Peachtree City the beautiful and vibrant place that it is today.
