Permit Fees

Building Permit Fees consist of 2 fees: Plan Review fees + Permit fees  

Plan Review Fees:

Plan review fees are non-refundable and due at the time of application.

  • Residential Plan Review: $180
  • Commercial / Industrial Plan Review: 50% of the Permit fee (minimum $200)
    • Fire Marshal Plan Review Fee: $0.015 per gross floor area, $150 minimum (to be paid separately to Fire Marshal office)
    • Automatic Fire Extinguisher System Review: $150 (to be paid separately to Fire Marshal office)
    • Fire Alarm Plan Review: $150 (to be paid separately to Fire Marshal office)
  • Resubmittal fees if not approved on first review: $120 each re-submittal
  • Plan revisions after plans have been approved: $100 per hour of review, $200 minimum

Permit Fees:

Fees are based on the value of construction. Unless approved by the Building Official, fees will be based on the latest construction cost data as published in the Building Safety Journal by the International Code Council. For interior completion only, the construction costs is values at 50% of the calculated ICC building valuation. FEES FOR WORK DONE WITHOUT PERMIT IS DOUBLED

 There is a $30 administration fee to all Building Permits

$3 for each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof

Permit Extensions/ Changes:

  • First extension: $50 / 3 months
  • Subsequent extensions: $100 / 3 months
  • Transfer of Permit or change of contractor: $200
  • Replacement: $25

Trade Permits (MEPs)

  • Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC: $80 PLUS $5 for each $1,000 or fraction thereof
  • Temporary Power letter: $50

Certificate of Occupancy of Completion (CO or CC):

  • New commercial or multi-family building: $120
  • New single family detached, attached, or condo: $60
  • New or renovated commercial tenant space: $30

Demolition  (no plan review)

  • Interior: $100
  • Single family residential: $150
  • Commercial building: $200

Other Fees (Plan review included):

  • Accessory Structure over 200 SF: $150
  • Accessory Structure 200 SF or less: $75
  • Fence: $100
  • Swimming Pool: 
    • $500 for residential in-ground
    • $300 for residential above ground/ hot tub
    • $650 for commercial
  • Residential re-roof:$100
  • Commercial re-roof: $200 PLUS $5 for each $1,000 or fraction thereof
  • Siding replacement: $150
  • Structure move: $200
  • Temporary construction trailer: $100 (plus electrical permit costs)
